2014’s Most Requested Riddim: The Uptown Julie Riddim (FME Recordings)

*Photos: Various sources

Greetings everyone!  The holiday season has officially begun and like Santa, we’ve been getting lots of special requests for music.  During these past few months, no other riddim has received as many requests as The Uptown Julie Riddim (2014 FME Recordings).

Why is this riddim so popular?  According to our fans, they love the fusion of urban dancehall rhythms, uplifting reggae melodies and soothing pop strings that remind them of summer.  The Uptown Julie Riddim features Ricky Blaze, Zoelah, Gyptian and Kes the Band on four hot tracks:

Ricky Blaze “All I Need”

Zoelah “Sell Off”

Gyptian “Stunta”

Kes The Band “Endless Summer”

The riddim’s producer, Ricky Blaze, describes the making of the Uptown Julie Riddim in this interview video.  Also, be sure to watch the riddim’s two music videos – Gyptian’s “Stunta” and Kes the Band’s “Endless Summer”.  Finally, listen to the full riddim mix by Dr. Bean Soundz.
